Wentworth is governed by the Wentworth Education Charitable Trust. The Trust Board provides strategic oversight, financial stewardship, and ensures the school operates in alignment with its Founding Document, values, and long-term vision.

Bruce Tong
Founding Principal of Wentworth College & Primary School, Bruce has led the growth and development of the Wentworth schools since their establishment. His leadership has been central to realising the founders’ vision of a school where students are supported and encouraged across all aspects of their development.
Steve Wackrow
Steve brings extensive educational experience and deep institutional knowledge to the Board, having served as Foundation Deputy Principal. His long-standing commitment to education and to Wentworth is of significant value to the Trust.
Barbara Judge
Barbara has wide-ranging experience in governance, education, and public service. She has served on school boards at both local and national levels, worked as a Ministry of Education School Commissioner, and brings expertise in governance training, human resources, and mediation.
Joy Quigley
Joy joined the Board in 2022 and brings considerable governance experience within the education sector. A former Member of Parliament, she has held senior roles including Executive Officer of Independent Schools of New Zealand (ISNZ) and has served on several school boards.
Shi Wei
Shi Wei joined the Board in 2022 and brings strong financial and commercial expertise. With over 12 years’ experience in investment banking and an MBA qualification, he contributes valuable insight to the financial stewardship of the Wentworth.
Stephen Fleming
As Founder of Wentworth College, Stephen has played a central role in shaping the school into the community it is today. He is also Director of the Wentworth Property Company and a major shareholder. Bringing extensive expertise in finance, Stephen was instrumental in establishing the structure between the Trust and the Property Company, ensuring a strong and sustainable foundation for the school’s growth.
