Uniform

Primary and College Uniform

At Wentworth School and College, wearing the correct uniform reflects pride in our school, supports high standards, and helps create a positive learning environment. Students are expected to wear full and correct uniform when travelling to and from school, during the school day, and when representing the school at events.

All uniform items can be purchased on-site through our uniform shop, with fittings and advice available to support families.

Students in Years 1–6 wear the summer uniform during Terms 1 and 4. This includes:

Girls

  • Summer dress (mid-calf length)

  • School slouch hat or bucket hat

Boys

  • Summer polo

  • Summer shorts

  • School slouch hat or bucket hat

Students are expected to wear the correct uniform at all times and take pride in their appearance.

Primary Summer Uniform

Students wear the winter uniform during Terms 2 and 3. This includes:

Girls

  • Winter tunic (mid-calf length)

  • Winter shirt

  • Jumper

  • Blazer and tie

  • Navy tights

Boys

  • Winter shirt

  • Winter shorts

  • Jumper

  • Blazer and tie

  • Knee-length school socks

Additional layers should be plain and in keeping with school expectations.

Students must wear the correct PE uniform for all physical education lessons and sporting activities. This includes:

  • Burgundy and blue PE shirt

  • Burgundy and blue PE shorts

  • Sports shoes

  • Optional blue PE sports hoodie

Students in Years 7–13 wear the summer uniform during Terms 1 and 4. This includes:

Girls

  • Navy skirt (mid-calf length)

  • White striped short-sleeved blouse

  • Jumper

  • Optional school waterproof jacket

Boys

  • Navy shorts

  • White striped short-sleeved shirt

  • Jumper

  • Optional school waterproof jacket

Sun hats are compulsory in Years 7–9 and optional from Year 10 onwards.

Students are expected to wear their uniform correctly and maintain a neat, professional appearance.

Students wear the winter uniform during Terms 2 and 3. This includes:

Girls

  • Navy skirt (mid-calf length)

  • Long-sleeved blouse (Year-specific styles)

  • Cross-tie (blue Years 7–10, burgundy Years 11–13)

  • Navy tights

  • Jumper and blazer

  • Optional waterproof jacket or black raincoat

Boys

  • Navy trousers

  • Long-sleeved shirt (Year-specific styles)

  • Wentworth tie

  • Black or navy socks (above ankle)

  • Jumper and blazer

  • Optional plain black or navy waterproof jacket

Blazers are an important part of the College uniform and should be worn with pride as the outer garment when travelling to and from school.

Any additional layers worn for warmth must be plain and should not be visible beneath the uniform.

Sports hoodies and team jackets are for co-curricular use only and are not part of the day-to-day school uniform.College-and-Primary-Winter-uniform.jpg

PE uniform is worn for PE lessons and sporting events only.

College students must not travel to or from school in PE uniform.

House T-shirts may be worn during inter-House events.

For safety reasons, all footwear must have a substantial sole and heel with tread.

Permitted

  • Plain black leather school shoes

  • Black leather sandals (summer only)

Not Permitted

  • Non-leather footwear

  • Sports shoes or slip-ons

  • Shoes with minimal tread

  • Heels higher than 3cm

Velcro fastening is permitted in Primary School, but not in the College.

To maintain a neat and consistent appearance, students are expected to present themselves in a tidy and appropriate manner at all times.

Hair

  • Hair must be neat, tidy, and styled in a conventional manner

  • Unnatural colours or extreme styles are not permitted

  • Long hair must be tied back using a plain black, navy, or hair-coloured tie

  • Hair must be kept clear of the face

  • Boys’ hair must be clear of the face and collar and be clean-shaven

Makeup

  • Facial makeup is not permitted

  • Nail polish, if worn, must be colourless

Jewellery

  • A wristwatch may be worn

  • Girls may wear one pair of small, plain studs in the lower earlobe

  • Necklaces, chains, and additional jewellery are not permitted

Summer Uniform

The Primary and College Summer Uniform is worn in Terms 1 and 4.

Winter Uniform

The Primary and College Winter Uniform is worn during Terms 2 and 3 and for formal occasions such as Prize-giving.

Sports Uniform

PE gear, House shirts, and sports-specific uniforms for training and competition.

All new uniform items for Wentworth Primary and College are sold from the Uniform Shop located at the College, two doors down from Reception.

School Holiday Hours

Additional opening hours and appointment bookings during school holidays are communicated via the weekly parent e-newsletter.
