Welcome to Wentworth College

Preparing Confident, Capable Learners

The Wentworth College curriculum builds on the strong foundations established in Primary School, supporting students to develop academic confidence, independence, and responsibility for their learning.

Students follow a broad and balanced programme that promotes depth of understanding, critical thinking, and strong study habits. Teaching is delivered in classes of no more than 25 students, enabling personalised support while maintaining high academic expectations.

Teachers take the time to know students well and adapt learning to meet individual needs, ensuring each student is both supported and appropriately challenged. Learning is enriched through specialist teaching, co-curricular activities, and a strong emphasis on values and standards.

By the end of their time at College, students are well-prepared for university and future pathways, with the knowledge, skills, and character to succeed.

Years 10–13: Increasing Challenge and Pathways

As students move into the senior years, the curriculum becomes increasingly focused and academically rigorous. Students are supported to make informed subject choices and to develop the independence, organisation, and resilience required for success in senior secondary study.

Senior courses are delivered within the Cambridge International Education framework, with a strong emphasis on subject depth, analytical thinking, and preparation for external assessment.

Further detailed information about subject options and the Cambridge pathways at Wentworth can be found in our Curriculum Booklet.

Beyond the Classroom

Alongside academic learning, College students are encouraged to engage fully in co-curricular activities, leadership opportunities, and wider school life. These experiences play an important role in developing confidence, teamwork, and a strong sense of responsibility.
