Music Across the School

Curriculum Music

All Primary students participate in a structured music programme as part of the curriculum. Lessons focus on singing, rhythm, listening skills, and musical understanding, with regular opportunities to perform in assemblies and school events.

At College, music continues through curriculum and co-curricular pathways, allowing students to extend their skills and interests as they progress through the school.

College Music Ensembles

Students at Wentworth College may participate in a range of music ensembles, including:

  • Wentworth College Orchestra

  • Chamber Orchestra

  • Blues Band

These groups rehearse regularly and perform at school and community events, giving students valuable ensemble and performance experience.

Instrumental & Vocal Tuition

Individual itinerant music lessons are available on campus and are delivered by specialist tutors. Lessons are offered in:

  • Singing

  • Electric Bass

  • Guitar

  • Drums

  • Piano

  • Keyboard

Lessons are available to students across multiple year levels and support both beginners and more experienced musicians. Students are encouraged to extend their learning through participation in ensembles and performance opportunities, with the option to prepare for external examinations such as Trinity College London or ABRSM.
