Basketball is one of the most popular sports at Wentworth College. Students can be found every lunchtime at the school gymnasium, vying for court time to play games and improve their performance.
Our teams consist of both girls and boys at the junior level from Years 7 to 10, with some seniors competing in the North Harbour competition. All junior teams play on Monday afternoons at the Hibiscus Coast Leisure Centre during Term time. This year we have 4 junior teams competing, and they are coached at lunchtimes and before school. Our coaches are experienced and passionate about the sport and work with our students to ensure the basics of the game are consistently executed.
Costs – Approximately $45 – $50 per Term.
Uniform – All students wear their Wentworth PE shorts and a basketball singlet provided by the school.
