Head of College

Wentworth School & College is an Independent, co-educational school with strong traditional values, promoting both academic and co-curricular excellence. The school is located in beautiful Gulf Harbour (in greater Auckland). Students follow the Cambridge curriculum and assessment pathway and achieve excellent academic outcomes.

We seek to appoint an experienced, motivated educator with a proven record of educational leadership and management to fill the position of Head of College, commencing at the start of Term 2, 2024. An understanding of the Cambridge Examination System is an advantage but not essential. A post graduate qualification in management/leadership would also be advantageous. A commitment to a strong co-curricular school programme is required. The successful applicant will teach 1 class/option line. They will have an affinity for the students and enjoy developing authentic relationships with them.

Applicants will be expected to have excellent people management skills with expertise and experience in curriculum management, strategic development, and pastoral care. They will be highly organised and able to demonstrate a proven ability to work at a strategic and operational level. The successful applicant will join the Head of Primary as a member of the school’s management team, reporting to the Executive Principal. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team to provide excellence in independent education.

Mathematics teacher

Wentworth College is a private, high performing College for Years 7 – 13 located at the end of the beautiful Whangaparaoa peninsula. We deliver the knowledge-rich Cambridge International curriculum with a teacher-led pedagogy.

Because of roll growth, we seek a passionate and outstanding teacher of Mathematics to Senior levels.  Experience with CIE is preferred but not essential. Please state co-curricular interests as we run an extensive programme for our students. This is a permanent, full-time position to start on 24 January 2024.

Bus Drivers

We are growing and as a result have bus driving opportunities available to transport our students on our privately owned buses.

About the role:

Casual, fixed term, or permanent
Monday to Friday during term time
AM and/or PM shifts, or job share

You will have:

A current NZ full drivers licence (Class 1) and a willingness to obtain Class 2
A current P Endorsement (or we can support you in obtaining this)
A professional approach to our students
Strong interpersonal skills
Demonstrate excellent driving history and skills
Have a satisfactory police vetting result
