The Year 9 coursework is aimed at developing learners’ skills and passion for a variety of curriculum areas.
It also serves to develop a base of knowledge for learners to draw on as they enter their IGCSE studies in Year 10.
Students are taught by highly qualified teachers who are specialists in their curriculum fields. They study;

- Health and Physical Education
- Music
- Art
- Spanish
- Mandarin and Technology.
Throughout our Junior School the use of technology and information systems is encouraged, whilst ensuring that the key skills of literacy and numeracy are stressed at all times.
Each subject is assessed by written examination in the middle, and at the end, of the year. At the end of Year 9, students may sit their first Cambridge “Checkpoint” examination in English, Mathematics, and Science.
