At Wentworth College we believe school camps are a wonderful opportunity for growth and a tremendously important aspect of each child’s school experience.
Last year, our Year 9 Students travelled to the Abel Tasman National Park where they spent the week sleeping in tents and pushing their comfort zones through a host of challenging and fun activities.
The activities included caving, kayaking, climbing high ropes and swinging from a trapeze.
The focus of this camp is was team work and taking responsibility for their own and others’ wellbeing. the whole year group developed a great sense of belonging, tolerance and empathy as well as having a fantastic time.
